H Info...2 weeks of treatment progress

Today marks 2 weeks that Sam has been on the Propranolol. On Thursday it will be 2 weeks from the steroid injection. Something is definitely working! About 3/4 of her H is almost flat, and the part under her nose is almost faded away. The dark purple/black marks are bruising, I am guessing, because the purple has been fading everyday. The dark spots just seem more noticeable now I think, because the rest of the purple has faded so much. I'm hopeful that in the next month those spots will also fade. She just really looks great! We are so happy with her progress. Of course, when I look back at the pictures as I make her collage I realize that I never knew how large it had gotten. I guess it's true what they say - Love Is Blind.

Wow, it's amazing how much it has changed! I'm so happy that something is working. It will be so worth it in the end.

That is amazing. I never realized that it used to be that big either. She's still Sam no matter what :)

Hi,
I am using propranolol for treating my daughter's hemangioma as well and the result seems very good. As the pictures show the medication worked for your DD amazingly. I am happy for you and know what you feel as I am going through the same thing.

Hi, I was on baby center and got to your blog. My son was born dec. 5th, 2008 and has a small heman on the side of his nose. it has been growing slowly and isn't raised very high yet. it changes every week and will probably continue to get bigger. My question is how you got your ped to send you somewhere to start medications for the heman. My ped. wants to wait and see and i read so much about what treatments could help. so confused about what to do.

Hi,
How is your little one Sam? I am waiting for the results of the medication. As I said before, I am using the same medication for my kid and very excited to know how it affects the H. My daughter's H is getting smaller but not as fast as we expected. Do you see any side-effects?...Please let me know your email address to talk more about it...It's calming, and of course hopeful, when you know somebody else is in the same combat you are.

Hi Hanna-

If you don't mind I'd prefer you leave me your email address here and then I can delete it after I see it. I have a lot of people viewing these pages and I'd rather not share mine publicly. Thanks and hope to hear from you soon!
